Daughtry is considered the No. 14 prospect in the 2027 class, according to ESPN. Daughtry has picked up other offers from Arizona State, Florida State and Mississippi State.
Last week, WVU basketball staff extended more offers to the class of 2025 recruits. Guards Legend Smiley and Lino Mark both picked up offers from the Mountaineers. Both players are three-star prospects.
Smiley, 6-foot-5, is a native of Castaic, Ca. and currently plays at Link Academy in Missouri. Smiley has picked up offers from Montana, Seattle, UNLV, Utah State, Washington, Weber State, West Virginia and others. Mark, 6-foot-2, currently plays at Notre Dame High School in California. Mark is a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports and has received offers from Arizona State, Cal State Northridge, Pepperdine, Portland, SMU, TCU, UC Santa Barbara, Utah, Washington State, West Virginia and others.
West Virginia, under new head coach Darian DeVries, doesn’t have any commitments for the 2025 class. The staff quickly picked up Jonathan Powell and KJ Tenner in the 2024 class after being hired in the spring.
DeVries and his staff are in the running for six 2025 athletes, including a couple of four-stars. Click here to check out who’s seriously considering West Virginia.
