West Virginia makes top list for JUCO Guard
This morning West Virginia fans woke up for another game day as the Mountaineers take on Grand Canyon tonight in the opening round of the CBI Tournament. What fans didn’t expect, was to wake up to some good news regarding the recruiting trail.
That news came from junior college guard Sean McNeil who included West Virginia in his top list of schools that also featured Oregon, Western Kentucky, Texas Tech, Ole Miss and Dayton.
Thank you to all the schools and coaching staff’s that took the time to recruit me. It’s been a long process, but I am excited to move forward with these final 6 🙏🏼 pic.twitter.com/cHw51xZHHy

With redshirt junior James Bolden and freshman Trey Doomes both transferring out of the program, it has created a lack of depth for the 2019-20 season. Coach Huggins has been pursuing a few junior college guards to add some college experience and leadership to next years squad.
McNeil can really fill it up as he averaged 29.7 points per game this year at Sinclair CC, while shooting 49% from the field and 43% from beyond the arc.
Stay tuned as we will be sure to keep a close eye on McNeil’s recruitment.
