Who Made the Cut?: WVU NFL Update

The preseason is officially in the books as we move forward onto week one in the NFL. Many Mountaineers were fighting for their lives during the four week preseason and some were unable to keep their spot on the roster.

Let’s dive right in to see which Mountaineers made or missed the cut and where they will he playing in 2019.

QB Geno Smith- Cut by Seahawks, then resigned

QB Will Grier- 3rd string on Panthers

RB Wendell Smallwood- Cut by Eagles, picked up by Washington

WR David Sills V- Cut by Bills, signed to Giants practice squad

WR Kevin White- Cut by Cardinals

WR Gary Jennings- 2nd string on Seahawks

WR Shelton Gibson- Cut by Eagles, signed to Browns practice squad

OL Adam Pankey- Cut by Packers, signed with Titans

OL Quentin Spain- Bills starting left guard

OL Mark Glowinski- Colts starting right guard

OL Yodny Cajuste- Patriots Injured Reserve

LB Bruce Irvin- Panthers starter

LB Nick Kwiatkoski- Backup inside linebacker for Bears

LB David Long Jr.- 3rd string inside linebacker for Titans

CB Rasul Douglas- 2nd string corner for Eagles

CB Daryl Worley- Starter for Raiders

S Karl Joseph- Starter for Raiders

S Dravon Askew-Henry- Cut from Steelers
