West Virginia basketball has offered 2024 CG Carmelo Adkins and 2024 forward Jinup Dobuol over the weekend. WVU assistant Jordan McCabe made the trip out to Phoenix and offered the pair of recruits.

“After a great talk with coach McCabe I’m blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University,” Adkins wrote.

“Blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University,” Dobuol said.

Adkins and Dobuol both currently play for Phoenix Prep OTE in Arizona.

Adkins (6-foot-5) is a combo guard originally from Keller, Texas. Adkins has received offers from Bryant, Holy Cross and West Virginia. Adkins reclassified from 2023 to 2024 for his postgraduate year at Phoenix Prep OTE.

Dobuol (6-foot-8) is a three-star prospect from Saint Paul, Minn. Dobuol has picked up offers from Bethune-Cookman, Northern Arizona, Ole Miss, Portland, UCSB, West Virginia and Wichita State.

West Virginia’s staff also offered top-30 prospect Naas Cunningham on Saturday. Cunningham currently plays at Southern California Academy and has over 25 Division-I offers. Cunningham played for Overtime Elite this past season, averaging 14.4 points, 2.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 30.2 minutes. Overtime Elite has emerged as one of the best developing programs in the country. Ausar Thompson (Pistons) and Amen Thompson (Rockets) both recently were drafted in the top five of the NBA draft.
