Mountaineers in the Pros: Week Three

Week three of the NFL season came with a ton of excitement, so let’s take a look at how some former Mountaineers performed this week.

Quinton Spain

Quinton Spain got the start in the Bills 21-17 win verse the Bengals.  Spain played in every offensive snap and also saw 5 plays on special teams.

Will Grier

Will Grier moved up a spot on the depth chart this week, but did not get the start.

Bruce Irvin
Carolina Panthers (NFL)

Atlanta, Ga.

Bruce Irvin was ruled out for the third week in a row.  It is still unknown when he will return.

Nick Kwiatkoski
Chicago Bears (NFL)

Bethel Park, Pa.

Nick Kwiatkoski recorded a tackle in the Bear’s 31-15 win over Washington.  Nick played 13 snaps at linebacker and 15 plays on special teams.

Shelton Gibson
Cleveland Browns (NFL)

Shelton Gibson was signed to the Browns practice squad on Sept. 2.

Tavon Austin

Tavon Austin is still recovering from a concussion and was ruled out for week 3.

Mark Glowinski
Indianapolis Colts (NFL)

Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Mark Glowinski started and played in every offensive play for the Colts in their 27-24 win over the Falcons.  He also saw action in 5 special teams plays.

Najee Goode
Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL)

Cleveland, Ohio

Najee Goode did not start for the Jaguars in their 20-7 win against the Titans.  However, Goode had a pass break up and 3 tackles.  The deflection was a key part of the game.  Goode saw action in 42 defensive plays and also 20 special teams plays.

Kyzir White
Los Angeles Chargers (NFL)

Macungie, Pa.

Kyzir White saw action in just 7 plays in the Chargers 27-20 loss to the Texans.

Yodny Cajuste

Yodny Cajuste is still recovering from a quadricep injury.  It is still not known when he will return to the football field.

Karl Joseph started and recorded 8 tackles in the Raiders road loss in Minnesota.  Joseph has had a slow start to the season, but it appears as if he is finally getting going.

Daryl Worley started and recorded 8 tackles in the Raiders road loss to the Vikings.

Rasul Douglas recorded 2 tackles for loss and also had 2 pass breakup’s in their 3 point loss to Detroit.

Gary Jennings

Gary Jennings was not active for week 3.

David Long saw action in 15 special team plays for the Titans.  He did not see any action at linebacker.

Adam Pankey was signed off the Titans practice squad by the Green Bay Packers-where he originally began his career.
