WVU Football Offers In-State Receiver; 4-Star EDGE

WVU Football offered four high school recruits in recent days, including a four-star and a West Virginia native.
The four-star is 2027 defensive end Kalib Spivey, who checks in at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. Spivey could project better as an outside linebacker at the next level, but he still has two high school seasons to add weight to his frame.
Spivey racked up 59 tackles, 15 hurries and six sacks as a sophomore; his other offers include Oregon, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, USC and Colorado.
Other offers include Mountain State native and wide receiver Malachi Thompson, who earned an offer from WVU Football receivers coach Ryan Garrett following a 7-on-7 camp hosted in Morgantown. A 2026 recruit who won the Randy Moss award as the best receiver in the state, Thompson attends Nitro High School in Kanawha County.
He racked up more than 2,300 yards and 38 touchdowns during his past two seasons, a physical presence outside at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds.
