MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU head coach Neal Brown is not ready to say if two key players will play against Cincinnati.

During his weekly press conference on Monday, Brown updated the statuses of running back CJ Donaldson and offensive lineman Doug Nester, saying more time is needed before officially declaring them good to go for West Virginia’s next game on Saturday.

Brown said both did not practice on Sunday and he will know more as the week progresses. He expects to be able to provide another update with a clearer picture of their statuses on Thursday while doing his radio show with Tony Caridi.

Donaldson ran for 79 yards on 14 carries, but did not return to the game after being attended to in the second half. Nester, who returned to action against Oklahoma after missing the win over BYU the previous week, also had to leave the game.

Betting Line Places WVU Football as Favorite at Home Against Cincinnati

Despite losing 59-20 in Norman, the Mountaineers are still a four-point favorite going into the matchup with the Bearcats. The game will kickoff at 2:30 pm ET and air on ESPN+.
