WVU Kicker Kade Hensley Shares Heartfelt Message About Time in West Virginia

WVU kicker Kade Hensley spent only one season as a Mountaineer, but it he gained memories that will last a lifetime. Hensley shared a final message to West Virginia with his eligibility coming to an end.

“Thank you West Virginia University. You guys gave me an opportunity to live out my dream. I can’t thank the Mountaineer faithful enough for every bit of support they showed me from the moment I stepped on campus. This place truly is special. Montani Semper Liberi,” posted Hensley on social media

Hensley converted 83.3% of field goals attempted and 96.9% of extra points during the 2025 season. His longest kick was a 50-yarder and he totaled 61 points.

The Mountaineers brought Hensley in as a veteran kicker via the transfer portal following the 2025 spring practice period.

Hensley spent the first four seasons of his college career at Coastal Carolina, earning major playing time in each of the last three years. He converted on 84.2 percent of field goal tries but nailed every single extra point in 2024.
