WVU’s Kevin Brophy, Audrey Adams Nominated for Big 12 Sportsman of the Year

West Virginia seniors Kevin Brophy and Audrey Adams have been named candidates for the 2020-21 Big 12 Sportsman of the Year award. One male and female student-athlete from all 10 affiliated institutions are nominated annually for the award.
Brophy is a fifth-year senior on the WVU baseball team. He played third base and shortstop this season for the Mountaineers, hitting .222 with eight home runs and 23 RBI. He is a career .226 batter and leaves WVU with 24 career long balls.
Adams is a redshirt-senior middle blocker on the WVU volleyball team. She transferred to WVU in 2019 after three seasons at Xavier. Adams was fourth on the team this season with 159 points and 123 kills. She was also second on the team with 52 blocks.
The winners of the Sportsman of the Year award will be announced next Thursday, June 17.
