Deshawn Woods May Prove to Be Among Most Versatile Linemen | WVU Football All 105
All 105 is a West Virginia Sports Now series profiling each member of the 2026 WVU Football Roster.
A 6-foot-5, 307-pound offensive lineman with experience at both left and right tackle, Woods came to Morgantown in December from Butler Community College.
Woods picked West Virginia over schools like North Texas, Troy, Tulsa UTEP and several others.
Ranked as a top 10 junior college prospect by national outlets Rivals and 247 Sports, Woods was once viewed as a four-star prospect. He even recorded a couple tackles beyond his work on the offensive line as a redshirt freshman in 2025.

Last year: Woods spent 2025 at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.
Stats: He helped pave the way for Butler to run for 1,929 yards (192.9 average), finished No. 3 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and ranking No. 7 nationally in rushing average.
Post camp outlook: Depending on how ready WVU feels Woods is to compete at the Power Four level, he should serve as a versatile depth piece for either side of the offensive line.

Accolades, highlights: He earned All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Honorable Mention in his first year at Butler in 2024 and guided his team to a 7-3 record and No. 9 national ranking in 2025.
