Kansas 4-Star Decommit Highlights Recent Available CBB Players

West Virginia is currently searching to fill four spots on their roster. Kansas four-star decommit Marcus Adams requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent on Sunday, reopening his recruitment. Let’s take a look at Adams and recent transfer portal entries.
Marcus Adams / F / Kansas
Adams (6-foot-8) committed to Kansas in March and reclassified to the 2023 class in the process. Adams had UCLA and Syracuse in his top three prior to his commitment.
Adams is currently ranked No. 48 in the country, according to 247 Sports. West Virginia didn’t originally recruit Adams during his process but could get involved with the opportunity.
Terrion Murdix / G / Texas A&M-Corpus Christ
Murdix (6-foot-1) entered the transfer portal on July 10. Murdix is the reigning Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year, averaging 2.3 steals last season. Murdix recorded 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists through 31 games. Murdix suffered an injury in the conference tournament but contributed to a team that appeared in the NCAA Tournament.
Murdix has one year of eligibility.
Alyn Breed / G / Providence
Breed (6-foot-3) entered the transfer portal on July 5 after three years at Providence. The Friars are currently transitioning head coaches this offseason from Ed Cooley to Kim English. Breed has one year of eligibility left.
Breed appeared in 32 games for Providence, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
WV Sports Now will update you on the latest college basketball players to open their recruitments late into the offseason. WVU is recruiting late into the summer so it’ll be important to keep up with who all is entering the transfer portal or available in high school. West Virginia most recently conducted a Zoom call with UCLA transfer Mac Etienne on Friday.
The Mountaineers currently have nine players on the roster as of July 17 with four spots to fill: RaeQuan Battle (G), Jeremiah Bembry (G), Jesse Edwards (C), Josiah Harris (F), Kobe Johnson (G), Kerr Kriisa (G), Omar Silverio (G), Patrick Suemnick (F) and Seth Wilson (G).
