Lanky CB Da’Mun Allen Continues Hutchinson Pipeline | WVU Football All 105
All 105 is a West Virginia Sports Now series profiling each member of the 2026 WVU Football Roster.
The Mountaineers have established a pipeline from Hutchinson Community College, one of the nation’s leading JUCO programs, over the past two seasons under Rich Rodriguez. Cornerback Da’Mun Allen, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior, is one of the latest athletes to join that pipeline. His lanky frame will help him go blow-for-blow with even the tallest wide receivers, and Allen has the ball skills to match: he racked up four interceptions, two pass breakups and 28 tackles (16 solo) across 12 games last season.
Although an academic junior, Allen could obtain more than two seasons of remaining eligibility thanks to an NCAA rule change expanding opportunities for JUCO transfers. Allen flashed his talent during the Mountaineers’ spring game, indicating he’s ready to make the leap to Power Four. Even if he goes through growing pains, WVU Football had one of the worst secondaries in the nation during the 2025 season, so a tall, physical corner like Allen should have an immediate chance to start.
