The three-star recruit was shot on February 20 outside of his school during a “road rage incident.” Police have not released any information regarding the incident. As a junior, he led Spartanburg High School to the Upper State South Carolina Championship game last December before he committed to West Virginia.
Jeter (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) committed to West Virginia back on December 20th, becoming the 2nd member of the 2023 recruiting class. As a junior, Jeter passed for 2,979 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He chose the Mountaineers over offers from Auburn, Charlotte, Georgia, Kentucky, Memphis, Missouri, Temple, and Virginia Tech.
