Mountaineers in the Pros
Seahawks Sign WVU’s TJ Jackson for Pass Rush Depth

TJ Jackson is being rewarded for his strong play as a Mountaineer with a contract from the Seattle Seahawks. Jackson signed with Seattle following the conclusion of the NFL Draft on Saturday night.
Jackson was a driving force for WVU’s pass rush in 2024. In his lone season as a Mountaineer after transferring from Troy, Jackson recorded 40 total tackles and 6.5 sacks, actually increasing his production after jumping from the Group of 5 level to the Power Four.
Jackson even led the nation in quarterback pressures early in the 2024 season.

The 6-foot-1, 262-pound edge rusher helped lead the Trojans to back-to-back conference titles and was named an All-Sun Belt first-team player in 2022. He posted 15.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks that season.
