WVU Basketball Picks up St. Bonaventure Guard Chance Moore

WVU basketball picked up a commitment from former St. Bonaventure guard Chance Moore, he announced on social media Thursday evening.

Chance Moore (6-6) played just one season at St. Bonaventure after transferring from Missouri State. He started 32 games with the BOnnies, averaging 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Moore helped St. Bonaventure to a 22-12 record and a berth in the NIT.

Moore scored a season-hgih 27 points in the second game of the season against Canisus. He reached 20 points four times this year and got to double-digits on 21 occasions. Moore also logged five double-doubles with points and rebounds.

He spent the previous two seasons at Missouri State, averaging 10.7 points across 62 games. Moore has never been a strong shooter, with his three-point percentage below 30% each of the last two seasons. Moore began his career at Arkansas in 2021-22, where he only appear in five games, playing a total of eight minutes.

Moore is the sixth player to commit to WVU out of the transfer portal, joining Jasper Floyd and Brenen Lorient from North Texas, Chattanooga shooter Honor Huff,ย UNC-Wilmington center Harlan Obiohaย andย Troy forward Jackson Fields. High school recruitย DeAndre Thomas Jr. has also committedย to WVU.
