WVSN Notebook 3/30: Big Day in Careers of Former WVU Player, Coach
The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia University Athletics.
Update (8:06 PM) –
WVU Baseball dropped the game and their series with the Oklahoma State Sooners, falling 10-1 in extra innings.
Reed Chumley managed a first inning home run, but the Mountaineers recorded just three hits for the rest of the game. Starting pitcher Derek Clark went nine innings for the second game in a row, allowing just one run.
Despite the pitching heroics, the Sooners tagged West Virginia for nine runs in the top of the 11th inning, a deficit that the offense couldn’t even hope to make up.
