WVU Inches Up in KenPom After Win Over MVSU
The WVU basketball team made it to No. 67 in the KenPom rankings after defeating Mississippi Valley State 86-51 Monday.
WVU started the day at No. 69 with an 11.85 net rating and now sits two spots further up the list with a net of 12.03.
West Virginia has a resume of a 70-54 win over Mount Saint Maryโs, a 73-65 win over Campbell,ย a 69-47 victory over Lehigh, a 71-49 domination of Pitt in the Backyard Brawl, aย 81-59 blowout win over Lafayette,ย a 70-38 ย routing of Mercyhurst,ย a 91-49 blowout win over Coppin State,ย a 90-58 win over Little Rock, and now an 86-51 win over MVSU.
WVU started last season at No. 87 in the KenPom rankings and ended at No. 51.
This season marks the first year of Ross Hodge at the helm of WVU, with the program seeing its fourth head coach in as many years.
Looking at the rest of the Big 12, Arizona is No. 2, Iowa State is No. 3, Houston is No. 9, BYU is No. 10, Kansas is No. 16, Texas Tech is No. 25, Baylor is No. 31, UCF is No. 43, TCU is No. 57, Kansas State is No. 59 and Oklahoma State is No. 62. Colorado trails WVU at No. 72.
