WVU center Zach Frazier has earned recognition from another major outlet. Frazier can now add making the first team on the Athletic’s 2023 Preseason All-America list to the praise he’s been receiving recently.

Frazier, a junior, is entering his fourth season as a Mountaineer and third as the starting center. He’s the clear leader of the WVU offensive line and is no stranger to being honored for his individual ability.

The Fairmont, West Virginia native has been placed on watch lists, preseason All-American teams and garnered praised throughout the entire offseason. Most recently, Frazier made the watch lists for the Outland Trophy, the Wuerffel Trophy and was included as a member of the Big 12 Preseason All-American team.

All in all, it’s safe to say Frazier is universally regarded as elite for his position. He was even on ESPN’s Way-Too-Early All-American Team for 2023 several months ago.

In 2022, Frazier helped guide a Mountaineer rushing attack that averaged 171.5 yards a game, earning him an All-Big 12 Conference selection. He allowed just one sack while also recording 51 knockdowns and 38 great blocks.
