With the season just a few months away, WVU has named the group of players who will represent West Virginia at Big 12 Media Days.

Five Mountaineers will be making the trip to Arlington, Texas in a couple weeks to help preview the 2023 season at the conference’s annual pre-season event. WVU’s representatives will be Aubrey Burks, Zach Frazier, Lee Kpogba, Sean Martin and Doug Nester.

Each of these players are veterans and will be relied upon heavily as Neal Brown looks to produce a winning season in 2023 after WVU posted a 5-7 record last year. Most notably, Frazier has been placed on most pre-season All-American lists and is regarded as one of the best centers in the country.

In addition to the continued high praise surrounding Frazier, Nester decided to return to Morgantown for one last college season, Burks has been labeled a player with pro potential by coaches, Brown himself has called Martin the new leader of the defense and Kpogba will be expected to step up even more.

The Big 12 Media Days take place July 12-13. WVU will be part of the second day of the event.
