Former WVU G Noah Farrakhan Withdraws Name from NBA Draft, Will Remain in College

Former Mountaineer guard Noah Farrakhan is returning to college basketball and withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft. Farrakhan announced his decision Friday morning.
“I will go head and withdraw from the NBA Draft process and will remain in college!,” said Farrakhan on X (Twitter). He declared for the draft during the period he could eventually withdraw after first entering the transfer portal on April 25.

Farrakhan, a 6-foot-2 guard, joined West Virginiaโs team under former head coach Josh Eilert in August. Farrakhan could not play for the first nine games of the year due to a transfer waiver. Farrakhan got on the court vs. UMass on Dec. 16, scoring 15 points in his season debut. Farrakhan went on to average 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists through 23 games for the Mountaineers.
Farrakhan has one year of eligibility remaining.
Farrakhan played at Eastern Michigan under head coach Stan Heath for two years. Farrakhan appeared in 31 games for the Eagles, averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists. The Hillside, N.J. native shot 43% from the field and 24% from three.
Noah Farrakhan began his collegiate career at East Carolina, committing as a three-star high school recruit. Farrakhan was formerly a five-star recruit at one point while playing at The Patrick School.
