Mountaineers in the Pros
Honor Huff Declares for NBA Draft After Capping Off College Career at WVU
Following his lone season as a Mountaineer, Honor Huff will now try to take his talents to the next level of basketball. Huff has officially declared for the upcoming NBA Draft.
Huff averaged 16.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 35.9% from the field during the 2025-26 regular season at WVU.
He was then named the MVP of WVUโs run to winning the second-annual College Basketball Crown, scoring 38 points in 44 minutes in the championship game on Sunday. He was 9-for-19 from the field in the game and also made all 12 of his free throws.
Leaving college basketball as the answer to a trivia question, Huff is one of only six players to ever play five or more games in April, the month designated as when champions are crowned. Ahead of the rest, Huff stands as the only player to be undefeated at 5-0.
The undersized point guard leaves college as both an NIT and Crown champion, having led Chattanooga to an NIT title in the spring of 2025 before transferring to West Virginia for his final season.
Hoping to lay the foundation for something special when he arrived one year ago, Huff can reflect back on his lone season as a Mountaineer and look on the bright side despite missing out on the NCAA Tournament.
The NBA Draft will take place from June 23-24. Huff has previously said he’s also open to professional basketball opportunities outside the NBA.
