Continuing their recruiting success in Western Pennsylvania, the WVU baseball staff earned a commitment from a 2027 pitcher on Friday.

Left-handed pitcher Nolan Wilson announced his commitment to move south after high school with a long post on X (formerly Twitter).

I’m excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic journey at West Virginia University. Thank you to my family, coaches and friends for all your support. I’m beyond grateful to Coach Sabins and the entire WVU baseball staff for this opportunity,” said Wilson.

Wilson, a product of Upper St. Clair High School, is listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds. He throws a fastball that usually reaches 86-87 mph, a changeup that approaches 77 mph, a curve and even a slider.

Wilson, who is 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, is a lefty on the mound and at the plate. He’s shown a fastball that touches 88.5 mph and sits in the 86–87 range, along with a full mix that includes a changeup, curveball, and slider.
