WVU Basketball Moves Back in KenPom Despite Win Over Cincinnati

WVU basketball moved back in the KenPom rankings after a 62-60 win over Cincinnati Monday, going from No. 69 to No. 73.

The Mountaineers have a 10-5 (1-1, Big 12) record and a NET rating of 11.57.

West Virginia have a resume of a 70-54 win over Mount Saint Mary’s, a 73-65 win over Campbell, a 69-47 victory over Lehigh, a 71-49 domination of Pitt in the Backyard Brawl,81-59 blowout win over Lafayette, a 70-38  routing of Mercyhurst, a 91-49 blowout win over Coppin State, a 90-58 win over Little Rock and an 86-51 win over MVSU in addition to the latest victory over the Bearcats.

Looking at the rest of the Big 12, Arizona is No. 2, Iowa State is No. 3, BYU is No. 10, Houston is No. 11, Kansas is No. 18, Texas Tech is No. 21, Baylor is No. 33, UCF is No. 41, TCU is No. 53, Cincinnati is No. 65, Oklahoma State is No. 66 and Kansas State is No. 72.

WVU started last season at No. 87 in the KenPom rankings and ended at No. 51.
