WVU Football Unveils September 11 Tribute Uniform

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU Football celebrates the United States of America with the uniform reveal for the Sept. 11 game against Long Island University.

Since 2001, this is the first time that full gray uniforms and blue helmets have been worn. It serves as a tribute to the events of September 11, and it’s especially poignant considering the opponent.

The Mountaineers will acknowledge the ultimate sacrifice made by honoring First Responders during the game, on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
