Traylon Ray
Four-star wide receiver Traylon Ray (6-foot-3, 186-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to West Virginia today. Ray is rated as a four-star recruit from both ESPN and On3 while Rivals and 247Sports have him listed as a three-star recruit.

Justin Benton
Despite a day that went mostly according to plan for West Virginia, the Mountaineers did suffer one major blow on National Signing Day.
Justin Benton, who had been committed to WVU since June and visited with defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley less than two weeks ago, flipped and signed with Houston.

DJ Oliver
One of the most recent commitments to West Virginia, 2023 consensus three-star running back DJ Oliver (6-foot, 237-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to play for West Virginia. Oliver was committed to USF as recently as two weeks ago before de-committing and choosing West Virginia back on December 17.

Rodney Gallagher
West Virginia’s top recruit in the class of 2023, wide receiver Rodney Gallagher (5-foot-10, 160-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent for West Virginia.

Josiah Trotter
Originally committing back in April, four-star Pennsylvania linebacker Josiah Trotter (6-foot-2, 230-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to West Virginia.
Trotter is a four-star recruit on both Rivals and ESPN, who also both rank him among the 10 best players in the state of Pennsylvania at No. 7 (Rivals) and No. 9 (ESPN). 247Sports, despite having him as a three-star recruit, also place him in the top 10 at No. 7.

Oryend Fisher
2023 edge rusher Oryend Fisher (6-foot-6, 210-pounds), the No. 1 player in the state of Kentucky according to On3, has signed his national letter of intent for West Virginia.

James Heard
Four-star linebacker James Heard (6-foot-2, 218-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to play at West Virginia. Heard is a four-star linebacker according to Rivals and a three-star according to the other major recruiting outlets – 247Sports, ESPN and On3.
In addition to rating him as a four-star recruit, Rivals ranks him as the third best player in the state of New Jersey. No other major outlet lists him in their top 10, with his next highest ranking being No. 12 (ESPN) and his lowest ranking being No. 20 (On3).
He is also significantly higher rated for his position nationally on Rivals than the other three. Rivals has him as the No. 17 linebacker in the country whereas the other outlets have him at No. 40 (ESPN), No. 72 (On3) and No. 80 (247Sports).
Heard originally committed to West Virginia back on June 3, 2022. National analyst Mike Farrell, in one of his first articles for WV Sports Now, listed Heard as one of his elite recruits defensively.

The first commitment in the class of 2023 for West Virginia, consensus three-star running back Jaheim White (5-foot-9, 187-pounds), has signed his national letter of intent to play at West Virginia.

Cooper Young
Consensus 2023 three-star offensive guard Cooper Young (6-foot-5, 280-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to play at West Virginia.
Young is consensus three-star recruit, but all four rank him at a different spot. He’s viewed highest on Rivals where he’s listed as the No. 19 player in the state of Pennsylvania and the No. 32 interior offensive lineman in the country. No other outlet has him in the top 50 for his position in the country.
His lowest ranking is by ESPN, who ranks him as the No. 31 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 121 player at his position in the country. No other outlet ranks him outside of the top 100 of his position, or the top 30 among Pennsylvania athletes.
Young comes from Dowington West High School in Dowington, Pennsylvania. He originally committed to West Virginia on June 16, 2022.

Four-star defensive end Zachariah Keith (6-foot-5, 250-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to play at West Virginia. He’s a recent commitment, committing a few weeks ago on December 4.

West Virginia’s lone in-state recruit and son of WVU Hall of Fame offensive lineman Rich Braham, Noah Braham (6-foot-3, 215-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to his father’s school.

Currently the lone quarterback in the 2023 class for West Virginia, three-star Sean Boyle (6-foot-2, 180-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to play for West Virginia.

Ben Cutter
Consensus three-star linebacker Ben Cutter (6-foot-1, 210-pounds) has signed his national letter of intent to play for West Virginia.
A North Carolina commit, Cutter ranks between the No. 28 (ESPN) and No. 41 (On3) player in the state. He’s not ranked nationally by Rivals, but comes between No. 32 (ESPN) and No. 143 (247Sports) on the other three for his national position rank.
Cutter currently attends East Lincoln High School in Denver, North Carolina. He originally committed to West Virginia on June 25, 2022.
