Tarik Phillip Explodes for Memphis Hustle
Now that Jevon Carter has been called up to the NBA, the Memphis Hustle are looking for a new leader.
Former Mountaineer Tarik Phillip filled that role on Sunday, racking up 48 points while shooting 7-of-8 from deep.
Phillip stuffed the stat sheet despite the 137-132 loss to the Long Island Nets. He gathered six rebounds and dished out two assists while finishing 16-of-25 from the floor and 9-of-10 from the stripe.
Have yourself a DAY, @PhillipTarik!

The 6’3″ guard also found a way to swat away four shots and collect two steals while only recording two turnovers in his 40 minutes of action.
Tarik Phillip clearly had his full arsenal on display on Sunday, so now all he needs is someone to take notice. Hopefully, Phillip can keep playing at this level and earn a call-up from the Grizzlies.
