Mallinger (6-foot-1, 176 lbs.) is rated as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and rivals. Mallinger is from Cocoa, Florida and plays at Cocoa High School.
Mallinger’s recruiting seems to have picked up recently. Just since August, Mallinger picked up offers from WVU, UCF, Mississippi, South Carolina, Rutgers and Illinois. He also holds FBS offers from Florida International and Toledo.
