WVU Basketball Enjoys Boost in KenPom

WVU Basketball is making its way back up the KenPom rankings, rising to No. 74 after previously falling to No. 78.

WVU started the year at No. 67, almost dropped into the 80s and is now moving back closer to their original spot.

The ranking is the 11th best out of all Big 12 programs. WVU is behind No. 2 Houston, No. 10 Arizona, No. 12 Iowa State, No. 14 Texas Tech, No. 16 BYU, No. 20 Baylor, No. 30 Kansas, No. 40 Cincinnati, No. 50 Oklahoma State and No. 56.

The Mountaineers jumped Arizona State, who is now at No. 76.

WVU started last season at No. 87 in the KenPom rankings and ended at No. 51.

The Mountaineers are 3-0 with a 70-54 win over Mount Saint Maryโ€™s, a 73-65 win over Campbell and a 69-47 victory over Lehigh.

This season marks the first year of Ross Hodge at the helm of WVU with the program seeing its fourth head coach in as many years.
