WVU Football 2025 Transfer Class Signee Tracker

With such a big transfer class, Rich Rodriguez and the WVU football program decided to unveil each signee periodically throughout the day on Thursday.

Each player is listed below in the form of a separate notebook to track West Virginia’s 2025 transfer class.

Safety William Davis, VA

OL Robby Martin, WV 

Robby Martin was the top-ranked offensive line recruit in West Virginia in the 2024 signing class out of Huntington High, ultimately choosing North Carolina State over joining the Mountaineers. He did not play for the Wolfpack while redshirting the 2024 season.

DB Justin Harrington, NC

Justin Harrington, a 6-foot-3, 209-pound defensive back, began his college football career way back in 2018. He then spent two seasons at a junior college before transferring to Oklahoma in 2020.

After only experiencing one full season with Oklahoma, Harrington transferred to Washington for the 2024 season. Harrington’s best season with the Sooners came in 2022 when he played in 13 games and totaled 23 total tackles while adding two pass breakups and one interception.

He suffered a season-ending injury in 2023.

DL Jimmori Robinson, VA

West Virginia beat out regional rival Virginia Tech to win the services of highly coveted defensive lineman Jimmori Robinson.

In 2024, Robinson totaled 43 tackles, 17 tackles for a loss, 10.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two deflected two passes passes as he was named the American Athletic Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Overall in four years at UTSA, Robinson has 110 total tackles, 30 tackles for a loss and 15 sacks in 43 games played. Robinson has an extra year of eligibility due to the NCAA’s new rule concerning players who experienced a year or more at a junior college. Before ending up at UTSA, Robinson spent time at Dodge City in 2019 and Monroe College in 2020 – his entire season was lost to the pandemic.

Nickel Jordan Scruggs, MO

QB Jaylen Henderson, CA

The former Texas A&M quarterback is taking his talents to West Virginia and the WVU football program.

Jaylen Henderson (6-foot-3, 220-pounds) shared his excitement for his next chapter as part of a post on social media.

“Blessed to find my new home! Excited to be a Mountaineer,” said Henderson.

Henderson, who entered the transfer portal on Dec. 2, appeared in five games in 2023. He completed 53-of-78 passes for 715 yards with 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He also added 104 yards and 2 scores on the ground.

Prior to the Aggies, Henderson spent two seasons at Fresno State and saw action in five games while completing 5-of-8 passes for 49 yards.

DB Jason Chambers, NC

WR Jarod Bowie, WV

TE Jacob Barrick, WV

Jacob Barrick, a Martinsburg, W.Va. native will jump to the Power Four level in the Big 12 for his final year of eligibility.

He made six receptions for 70 yards in six games for the Gamecocks in 2024.

In high school as a 2022 prospect at Martinsburg High School, Barrick played both offense and defense as an edge rusher. He was a first team all-state selection as a senior. Barrick made 38 receptions for 644 yards and scored seven touchdowns, averaging 16.95 yards per reception. He also caught four two-point conversion attempts.

Nickel Fred Perry, GA

Kicker Ethan Head, LA

DB DeVonte Golden-Nelson, TN

DeVonte Golden-Nelson, 5-foot-10, 180-pounds, spent the past three years at Akron after starting his college career with two years at Memphis.

He recorded 66 tackles, 10 pass deflections and a pair of interceptions during his career with the Zips.

In 2024, Golden-Nelson totaled 33 tackles before entering the transfer portal on Dec. 17. He then received offers offer from West Virginia along with Houston, Oklahoma State and UNLV.

DB Derek Carter, AL

WR Cyrus Traugh, WV

Cyrus Traugh, a Parkersburg South product who caught 84 passes for 1,200 yards and 19 touchdowns as a Randy Moss Award winner during his illustrious high school career in the state, comes to WVU with two more years of eligibility.

LB Chase Wilson, CO

WR Cam Vaughn, GA

Cam Vaughn (6-2, 190) led Jacksonville State in all receiving categories in 2024, posting 48 catches for 803 yards and five touchdowns. He follows head coach Rich Rodriguez to Morgantown.

LB Braden Siders, WY

LB Ashton Woods, GA

On Jan. 5, the WVU football program landed another transfer commitment. North Carolina transfer linebacker Ashton Woods announced his intentions on social media to provide the Mountaineers with their biggest addition of the day.

Woods, a Marietta, Ga. product, was a four-star recruit out of high school in 2024.

He ended up picking UNC over offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Boston College, Georgia Tech Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, NC State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pitt, Tennessee, UCF, USC, Virginia, Wake Forest and many others.
